Privacy Policy
- We collect only what we need to drive you: name, phone, addresses, flight number.
- Your driver gets your name, phone, addresses and flight — nothing else — and must delete it after the trip.
- We never sell or rent your information, and we do not store your card number.
- You can ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or opt out of marketing at any time.
Vamos Express Shuttle Inc., operating as Vamos Express (“we”, “us”, “our”), provides pre-arranged airport and ground transportation in Alberta, Canada. We handle personal information in accordance with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
1. What we collect
We collect only what we need to provide and account for your trip:

We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we do not collect sensitive categories of information such as health or financial account data.
2. How we use it
- To confirm, schedule, dispatch and perform your trips, including monitoring your flight to adjust arrival pickups;
- To send you service messages about your booking — confirmation, driver details, pickup reminders;
- To take payment, issue receipts and keep tax and accounting records;
- To respond to questions, complaints and lost-property requests;
- To improve our service and website;
- With your separate consent, to send occasional promotional messages. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP or using the unsubscribe link. Opting out of marketing does not stop service messages about a trip you have booked.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only in these cases:
- Your assigned driver — name, phone number, pickup and drop-off addresses and flight details, and only for the trip they are performing. Every driver, whether an employee or an independent contractor, is bound by a written agreement requiring them to use this information solely for that trip, keep it confidential, never use it for their own marketing, and delete it from their devices within 30 days of the trip.
- Service providers that operate our systems — cloud hosting and database, payment processing, SMS and email delivery, and website analytics. They receive only what they need and are contractually restricted in how they may use it.
- Where the law requires — for example in response to a court order or a lawful request from a tax or regulatory authority, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
Storage outside Alberta. Some of our providers store or process data outside Alberta, including in the United States. While it is there it may be accessible to foreign courts and authorities under the laws of that country. We choose established providers and limit what each one receives. If you would like to know which providers we currently use, contact us and we will tell you.
4. How long we keep it
- Trip and payment records — up to 7 years, as required for Canadian tax and accounting purposes;
- Messages and correspondence — up to 2 years, then deleted or anonymised;
- Marketing contact details — until you withdraw consent;
- Website analytics — per Google Analytics retention settings, in aggregated form.
5. How we protect it
Your information is held in access-controlled cloud systems, protected by authentication and encryption in transit, with access limited to the people who need it to run the service. Drivers see only the details of trips assigned to them. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but if a breach occurs that creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta as required by law.
6. Your choices and rights
Under PIPA you may:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and how it has been used or disclosed;
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- Withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time;
- Withdraw consent to our use of your information generally — though if you do, we may be unable to provide the service, and we may still need to keep records the law requires us to keep;
- Ask a question or make a complaint about how we handle your information.
Contact us by phone or text at +1 403 619 7769. We respond to access requests within 45 days as required by PIPA. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta at oipc.ab.ca.
7. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses essential cookies so that the booking form works, and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the booking form will still work.
8. Text messages
When you book, you agree to receive transactional text messages about your trip — confirmation, driver details and pickup updates. Promotional messages are sent only with your separate consent, and each one includes a way to unsubscribe. Reply STOP to opt out of promotional texts at any time.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will publish the updated version on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be highlighted on our website.
